MPTC EMR Class
‼️We are in the very early stages of planning another EMR class through MPTC, that would be hosted here in Fox Lake, at our station. This class will potentially start in early January and go through May. It will be one semester long, and in years past it has been two night classes a week. This would be open to anyone who is 18 or older, and open to everyone in the area. This is not Fox Lake specific.
🩺EMR stands for Emergency Medical Responder. This training would educate you on how to do basic life saving treatments such as CPR, airway management, wound control, and medications.
💉This class would also be an opportunity for RN's to take to cross credential.
🩹Did you know that most of the departments in our area are volunteer ran departments? We have EMR's, EMT's, and Firemen who work full time out of town, and volunteer to our communities during the day, evenings, and weekends. Our station operates 24/7 on volunteers.
🩸Knowing what to do in an emergency situation is a super power.
🌡️If you are interested in taking an EMR course, please contact the Fox Lake Fire Department at 920-928-6115 and leave a message. Or contact Randolph Fire Department at 920-326-4630. We need to meet a minimum number of people interested before they will officially offer the course. THANK YOU!
